Formal Graduate Application
The deadline for submitting the formal graduate application is January 1. That means all application materials (application, references, TOEFL scores, official transcripts) should be returned to the Graduate Admissions Office by that date. International applicants will be admitted for the fall semester only. The fall semester begins in late August.

Admissions Decision
If you are offered admission to a graduate degree program at Wheaton, please follow all the instructions provided in the admission letter and Notification of Acceptance.

Declaration of Finance Form
ADeclaration of Finance Form will be sent to you along with your admission letter. On this form you report your financial status and return it to the Office of International Student Services. This form must be returned in order for your I-20 to be issued.

Budget/Sponsorship
Once the Declaration of Finance Form is received, a budget sheet will be sent showing the estimated expenses for the entire time of your program. Alternative payment plans may be available to U.S. institutional sponsors upon request. Payment plans must be finalized with Wheaton College by June 1st. You will be given a 1% refund based on the amount you have deposited by June 1st (does not apply to scholarship monies). The college will hold the remaining funds and apply it to your bill at the appropriate time. The amount that exceeds your billed cost will be returned to you during orientation week to be used for personal expenses.

The I-20.
When the full payment is received by the Financial Aid Department, financial clearance will be given for the I-20 to be issued by the Office of International Student Services.
